We are proud to launch the fourth edition of the Malta Animal Honours Awards, organised by the Ministry for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights, together with the Parliamentary Secretariat for Fisheries, Aquaculture and Animal Rights, in collaboration with the Office of the Commissioner for Animal Welfare.

This event is a celebration not only of our beloved four-legged and feathered companions, but also of the dedicated individuals who work tirelessly to promote and protect animal welfare each and every day.

We invite the public to submit their nominations, sharing the inspiring stories of animals and people who truly deserve recognition in their respective categories. Nominations will remain open until Friday 18th July 2025.

A panel of judges appointed by the Ministry will evaluate all submissions and select three finalists per category. These will then go to a public vote, and the most popular nominee will be the winner of the category.

Short-listed animals and their respective caregivers will be invited together with the nominated people to attend the awards ceremony which will take place on the 4^th October 2025.
